About Us
The Patons blog is intended to give fans of Patons yarn a peek at other knitters’ and crocheters’ experiences with Patons yarns and patterns. It’s an opportunity to interact with other yarn-lovers and find inspiration.
Meet the bloggers:
- Terri (aka TerriKnitsPatons) currently works at home as a homeschooling parent and volunteer. Her responsibilities when homeschooling include bribery for the memorization of times tables, handwriting coercion, and lots of outside play. In addition to being a Girl Scout volunteer, Terri is also the president of her local Knitter’s Guild. Two of her favorite things about being the Guild president is the opportunity to promote knitting to the community at large and being able to meet and speak with many of the yarn world’s great personalities.
- Elizabeth (aka YoElizBo) began knitting around the age of seven and over the years was taught by her great-grandmother, both grandmothers and her mother to love of all sorts stitches. Knitting, she’s learned, is a craft that takes patience, practice and a willingness to just dive in. Even after forty years with needles in her hands, Elizabeth still has her share of screw-ups, which she is not above sharing with the world. When not knitting, she writes historical romance novels–which have on occasion included a bit of knitting, cooks for her houseful of boys, and gardens when the sun shines.
- Paula (aka K1Paula2) has always loved making fun and functional things out of next to nothing, so imagine what she can do with some great yarn! She’s also a full-time freelance writer who spends a lot of time covering the television industry, which itself is full of knitters. Fortunately, Paula’s an accomplished multi-tasker, often knitting or crocheting while watching TV. She may have several projects going at once – knitting, felting, crocheting, quilting – but rarely has two knitting projects on the needles at once. Even multi-taskers need to focus sometimes.
- Jenifer (aka knittinjen) is a married full-time working mother of three boys: twins and a newborn. Consumed by knitting, her family often wonders about her sanity, her husband simply accepts her obsession and her kids know her no other way. If Jenifer finds an error in her knitting she must frog and redo. This is not an option – thankfully there is always more coffee.
The bloggers on the Patons blog receive yarn and patterns from Spinrite LP in exchange for their bloggery. This blog was brought to you by the letters T, E, J, P and the number 4.
