I don’t do this often, so forgive me if I break etiquette. I want to leave a message for K1Paula2 regarding the Paton’s Tote Bag pattern. I am having trouble figuring out how to complete the bottom. I don’t understand the leaving the remaining stitches part on. Can you please get back to me? I’d really appreciate it. Thanks.

Oh, BTW, I love the colors of the bag that you chose. I definitely want to do something in those colors. I get stuck in my color pallet too (I love purple.)

Chickwithsticks68, I just now noticed your comment. I hope you’re the same person who tracked me down on Ravelry. If so, I hope my tips worked.

I made the bag about a year ago, but remember how much fun the bottom was to knit. You leave those remaining stitches on the needle instead of knitting the entire long row before turning. What happens is with each subsequent row you’re picking up another stitch on each side, creating “seams” as you go. When you finish knitting, there is no seaming. Love it.

Let us know how it turns out!

I am in need of help. I had passed down to me from an much older Aunt, pattern book #17777 but am looking for pictures of the Tea Party Dress and the Jacket. I am left handed and use the pictures along with the pattern for all my projects. Please let me know if you can help. Thank you so very much. I lost all but a few of my patterns and yarns during Hurricane Irene so I am with the help of family and yard sales restocking. I am out of work for now with 2 disc tears and waiting surgery…with new and 1st Grandson this keeps me busy. Thanks again for the help.

I am looking for an old patons pattern I used many years ago to knit a sweater for my daughter. I was wondering if someone still had this book. It had a picture of a sweater with a cat on the front on the front page of the book. The pattern I am looking for is called the icecream sweater. It is knit from the neck down.

I need some help with a pattern from Patons Sweet to your Feet Stretch Socks. Since I am a novice knitter (VERY beginner self taught), and I have a lot more experience with crochet, I bought this book with 2 skeins of stretch sock yarn and decided to try my hand at the first pattern for Basic Crochet socks. However, I have only ever crochet afghans and scarves(flat work), but I have done many patterns including popcorn, shells, and basket weave. So I wanted something a little more challenging and practical. Socks! So, I have gotten as far as the cuff and down to the heel and that is as far as I got. What am I doing with the heel? Looked up tutorials in the internet to no avail. I would like to be able to visualize what I am doing. I don’t understand the directions. Can anyone who has crochet these socks help me please?

Patons produced a knitting pattern for Ermintrude the Cow from the Magic Roundabout some years ago. I believe it is now discontinued. Can anyone help, please?
